Based on the corporate philosophy of “人第一主義” (people-first principle), INNO Group, which started in 1991, launched ‘BUCHEON Terminal SOPOOOONG (completion in 2007)’ with total floor area of 198,000㎡ and has achieved remarkable results on development and operation in multiple complex including terminal management business. On this basis, we turned our attention to overseas markets in 2007 and entered Myanmar, “the last Golden Land of Asia.” We have continued to grow through constant challenges and innovations for successful leaps. As a result, we have truly become a leading Korean enterprise with over 6,000 local employees, currently operating our finance, real estate development, manufacturing, construction and leisure businesses in Myanmar.
Myanmar is currently the most dynamically changing country in the world.
In recent years, Myanmar has been working with China, Japan, and South Korea to create urban development industries, spurring its economic development and growth. However, there remain the limitations of the growth such as the weak mainstream industries, and problems of electric power and telecommunication networks and lack of distribution infrastructure are the tasks which should be overcome first. In addition, the world’s highest price of real estate lease and less developed financial industry still remain the difficulties of Myanmar’s business.
Despite these hard circumstances, the driving force of growth that INNO Group had, which made it possible to continue to bear fruits, was to try to keep the principle as the first priority in order not to lose our trust even in the situations of loss of the enterprise. Especially, in Myanmar’s rapidly changing situation, the steady accumulation of infrastructure and unchanging partnership have been great power for us to grow constantly, consolidating the role of a bridgehead between two countries.
